cl-plplot software package provides CFFI based interface to the PLplot scientific plotting library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cl-plplot
cl-plplot is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cl-plplot package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cl-plplot *
You will get with cl-plplot package name, version, architecture and description in a table
